Three Free Fall Events For Dutchess County Veterans Now Planned
Before we know it, Veterans Day 2026 will be here, but before we get to that November date, let's pass along information about a few free upcoming events for our local veteran community.
Honoring Veterans in the Hudson Valley
In collaboration with the Dutchess County office of Veterans Affairs, Sue Serino, County Executive, has announced three upcoming events to honor veteran service. Allowing our local heroes to connect with one another, and network with the people and organizations across the community that are here to support them, all three events are free but do require pre-registration.
Serino, always a proud supporter and advocate for the veterans across Dutchess County and the Hudson Valley, shared the following:
Dutchess County is so thankful to the brave men and women who have served our country. These events are a chance for us to celebrate our veterans, say thank you and bring people together. I hope our veterans will join us, enjoy some delicious food and great conversation, catch up with old friends and make some new ones.

Red, White & You Picnic, Pasta Dinner(s) Scheduled for Veterans
On Saturday October 17th from 11am until 2pm at James Baird State Park (Pleasant Valley), local vets and a guest are invited to the Red, White & You Veterans Picnic. BBQ provided by Tavern 23 along with a performance by StringMasters live country music will be part of the rain-or-shine festivities. Call 845-486-2000 or email CountyExec@dutchessNY.gov to RSVP no later than 10/12.
There are also two pasta dinners planned in the coming weeks. One on Sunday October 25th at the Red Hook VFW Post 7765 with a 4pm seating. The other, Sunday November 1st at the East Fishkill Community Center with seatings at 2pm and 4pm.
