Town of Maine Man Arrested on 17 Weapon, Narcotics Charges
A man from the Town of Maine is facing 17 charges, 16 of which are felony narcotic and weapon charges, after the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant in the Town of Maine on Tuesday.
According to a press release on Wednesday, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force executed a search warrant at 383 Kolb Road in the Town of Maine. As a result of the search, law enforcement officers seized over $10,000 in methamphetamine and a number of weapons, including illegal pistols and rifles, high capacity magazines and ammunition.
As a result of the investigation, 32-year-old Cody A. Dickson from the Town of Maine was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the second degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, three counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, nine counts of criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, criminal possession of stolen property in the fourth degree, and criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.
Broome County Sheriff Fred Akshar stated "This case is another remarkable victory for the collective teamwork of our local law enforcement agencies. Getting dangerous narcotics and illegal weapons out of circulation is key to building a safer future for our families, and I applaud the detectives and officers for all their hard work getting it done for our community."
The Broome County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Binghamton Police Department, Johnson City Police Department and Endicott Police Department.
