
Four Hurt in Crash on Binghamton’s Brandywine Highway
Four people were transported from the scene of a reported vehicle crash on Route 363 in Binghamton.
The incident on the Brandywine Highway was reported around 2:20 p.m. Thursday.
City police officers and fire department medics requested four ambulances to the scene of the crash, which was in the southbound lanes on a bridge over Robinson Street.
Initial reports from the scene indicated four people - two adults and two children - appeared to be unconscious in a car.
A Binghamton Fire Department ambulance was sent to the highway, along with rigs from Superior Ambulance and Chenango Ambulance Services.
Those who were injured were transported to Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City.
Southbound traffic was diverted from Route 363 onto Frederick Street. Detoured vehicles crawled slowly down Liberty Street to Robinson Street.
A small crowd gathered near Prince Deli on Robinson Street to observe the emergency crews at work on the bridge.
No information was immediately available on the circumstances surrounding the crash.
