College basketball fans, we're in the final stretch of the regular season, with playoffs for some teams on the near horizon.

Locally, we have two great programs with Binghamton University's men's and women's teams. Townsquare Media has been proud to be the media outlet for both the men's games broadcast on WNBF and the women's games broadcast on Kiss 104.1.

Season Ticket Base Announced For The 2026-2027 Season

According to a release today, February 24, 2026, from the Binghamton University Athletics Department, Director of Athletics Eugene Marshall, Jr., as a thanks to its 2025-26 basketball season ticket base, the division will keep the 2026-2027 season ticket price the same as an expression of gratitude.

It was noted that the BU men's team captured the attendance crown 10 times this season, while the BU women's team has led the America East for six consecutive seasons.

I want to say thank you to all of our season ticket holders for their support. This season has been something I have never seen in all my years of playing and coaching! Heartbreaking Season For The BU Men's Basketball Team

The Binghamton University men's team has had a tough season, with several injuries, including three starters for a total of six players lost for the season with serious injuries.

Regardless, the team hung tough this season with some games coming down to the wire, including a triple-overtime loss to the University of New Hampshire on January 22nd, and a heartbreaker against the always tough Vermont Catamounts 60-59 on January 8th.

On the upside, the Bearcat men's team hit triple digits on December 9th, as they defeated Elmira College, 100 to 60.

The BU men have two games remaining on the regular season schedule - Thursday, February 26th, looking for revenge as they host the University of New Hampshire at the Events Center. Game time is 6:07 p.m. with the pregame show on WNBF 1290 AM, 92.1 FM, and 93.9 FM with Roger Neel beginning at 5:45 p.m.

Closing out the regular season schedule, the men will host the University of Maine on Senior Night at the Events Center beginning at 2 p.m. Pre-game time will be 1:45 p.m. again, with Roger Neel providing the play-by-play action on WNBF 1290 AM, 92.1 FM, and 93.9 FM.

BU Women Experience One Of The Best Seasons In History

The Binghamton University Women's basketball team has been experiencing an amazing season with a 19-9 overall record and 10-4 in conference play.  Currently, the team is tied for 2nd place in the America East standings and seeded 2nd for the playoffs.

The BU women have two games left on the regular season as well - against the University of New Hampshire on Thursday, February 26th, in Durham, New Hampshire. Game time 6 p.m. with the pregame show beginning at 5:45 p.m., heard on Kiss 104.1.

The final regular-season game will be Saturday, February 28th, in Orono, Maine, against the University of Maine. Game time will be 1 p.m. with the pre-game kicking off at 12:45 p.m. heard on Kiss 104.1.

The BU women will be looking forward to the conference playoffs, which will see the team playing in a quarterfinal game on March 5th at the Events Center beginning at 6:07 p.m. The opponent will be determined at the end of the regular season.
