Authorities said a Johnson City man was injured when he dove headfirst through a glass window in an effort to elude police investigators.

The incident happened Tuesday evening at a residence at 57 Miriam Street on the village's North Side.

According to a news release, 34-year-old Carnel McCarden was armed with two handguns as he tried to flee when members of the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force entered the home.
