Most Young New Yorkers Still Want a Real Person When Buying a Home
Artificial intelligence is a big part of everyday life. People use it to answer questions, compare prices, and plan vacations. But when it comes to buying or selling a home in New York, most young adults still want help from a real estate agent.
Most Young Adults Do Not Want AI to Replace Agents
A new survey found that nearly 80% of adults between the ages of 18 and 29 do not think AI should replace real estate agents. The survey also found that adults over 65 feel the same way. More than 83 percent say they do not want AI to take over the job.
AI Can Help, But People Still Want an Expert
Many young adults said AI is useful for learning about the home buying process. It can explain real estate terms, compare homes, estimate mortgage payments, and help people learn about neighborhood. But when it comes time to make an offer, negotiate a price, deal with an inspection, or sign the final paperwork, most people want a real person to help.

More Middle Aged Buyers Are Open to AI
The survey found that adults between the ages of 30 and 60 were more willing to let AI handle more of the home buying process. Researchers say that may be because many people in that age group have already bought or sold a home before and feel more comfortable with the process.
New Yorkers Still Value Human Advice
Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions most people will make. The survey shows that while AI can be helpful, most young adults still want an experienced real estate agent by their side. Technology is helpful, but it is not ready to replace the personal help that comes with buying or selling a home.
