From Upstate to NYC: Jared Campbell’s Song ‘The Tree’ Illuminates the Unnoticed
Jared Campbell is an award-winning singer-songwriter from Upstate New York, and he recently wrote a heartfelt song called "The Tree,” inspired by the 2023 Rockefeller Christmas Tree.
Jared found out that a tree from his hometown of Vestal was chosen to be this year's Rockefeller Christmas Tree in New York City. Jared says that he never even noticed this tree before. It was just a regular old tree that he drove by every day without giving it a second thought.
It got him thinking about how many people in our lives go unnoticed and overlooked, just like that tree. It hit Jared hard, especially since he plays music for students every day who might feel the same way.
Jared believes that everyone has a purpose and that we are all made with a lot of care and love. Even if others don't see it, there's something special inside everyone. That's why he wrote "The Tree." The song is dedicated to Jared's hometown and this incredible experience, but to everyone who has ever felt invisible.
“The Tree” is a reminder that even when others don't recognize our worth, there is a higher power who sees each one of us and sees the goodness inside of us. Talk about powerful!
Jared is excited about this song and hopes it will spread some holiday cheer to all the unnoticed souls out there. The good news is that "The Tree" will be available on all the major listening platforms during this holiday season but we have a video you can check out right now.
