If you’re getting your car washed this week, you can also help support an important cause. Though March 10th, Hoffman Car Wash is partnering with Breakthrough T1D to raise money for research to help find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

A Simple Way to Help

During the fundraiser, 100 percent of every $5 upgrade purchased at any Hoffman Car Wash location will be donated to Breakthrough T1D. The upgrades included are: Carbonite protection, Ceramic protection, and Vision Clear windshield treatment.

These upgrades help protect your car from dirt, water spots, and sun damage. The Vision Clear treatment also helps your windshield repel rain and snow so it’s easier to see while driving.

Helping Fight Type 1 Diabetes

Breakthrough T1D is a global organization that focuses on research for Type 1 Diabetes, also known as T1D. Type 1 Diabetes can affect children and adults and often appears suddenly. It is not caused by diet or lifestyle, and right now there is no cure. People with T1D must watch their blood sugar levels and take insulin every day.

A Personal Cause for Hoffman Car Wash

For Hoffman Car Wash CEO Tom Hoffman Jr., this cause is personal. He has lived with Type 1 Diabetes for more than 40 years. He says every donation helps move researchers closer to better treatments and eventually a cure.

Giving Back to the Community

This fundraiser is part of Hoffman Car Wash’s “Practice Kindness” initiative, which focuses on helping people in the communities they serve. Hoffman Car Wash also supports many local organizations through its Helping Hands fundraising program. So if your car needs a wash between now and March 10, adding a $5 upgrade can help support research and bring hope to people living with Type 1 Diabetes.
