SUNY Broome Community College is hosting its 43rd Annual Children’s Fair on Sunday, April 26, and families in the Southern Tier are invited to come out and enjoy the afternoon. Forty-three years is a long run for any community event, and this one has stuck around for good reason. If you’ve never been, it’s worth checking out. If you’re a regular, you already know what to expect.

A Celebration Rooted in the Spirit of the Young Child

The fair is co-presented by SUNY Broome and the New York Association for the Education of Young Children, and it falls during April’s National Month of the Young Child. At its core, it’s a day for kids: a chance to get them out of the house, into something fun, and around other families who care about the same things you do.

Something for Every Little Adventurer

This year’s activities include Irish dancing, kid-friendly yoga, big trucks to climb on and explore, and free books for kids to take home. There’s more on the schedule, too, enough to keep even the most easily distracted five-year-old busy for a while.

Free Fun for the Whole Family, With a Way to Give Back

Admission is free. No tickets, no cost at the door. If you want to bring something, CHOW donations will be accepted on-site, a nice way to do a little good while you’re out having fun with your kids.
