Bambi Madden of Binghamton left her home on foot at 11 p.m. on January 11, 2006, and hasn't been seen or heard from since.

The Night of Bambi's Disappearance

Bambi Madden, a resident of Binghamton, set out from her home on Winding Way at 11 p.m. on January 11, 2006, with the simple intention of grabbing cigarettes and or a beer from a nearby convenience store.

Wearing black jeans, a puffy jacket, and Timberland boots, the 34-year-old wife and mother of three carried just $5 in her pocket. However, she never returned home, disappearing without a trace.

Persistent Investigation

Despite it being 19 years since Bambi vanished, the Binghamton Police Department continues to seek leads on her case. However, authorities have encountered a frustrating lack of tips and leads in recent years, leaving Babmi's case unresolved.

Speculations and Family Concerns

While Bambi had a misdemeanor drug charge and prior encounters with law enforcement, the Binghamton police dismissed any connection between Bambi's past history and her disappearance.

Additionally, Bambi's family vehemently denies the possibility of her voluntarily leaving, especially as she was actively fighting for joint custody of her granddaughter and had a scheduled court hearing the day after she vanished.

Unresolved Circumstances and Surveillance Footage

Police have no evidence to suggest foul play was involved in Bambi’s disappearance, but they haven’t ruled out the possibility. Bambi didn’t own a cell phone or a credit card, so there’s no way to trace her through either of those.

According to a June 2007 CBS news story on Bambi's disappearance, then Binghamton Police Captain Alex Minor said  "We did obtain the surveillance tapes. She did not make it to either one of those stores that were in her immediate neighborhood."

Bambi was a regular at the Clinton Street bars “the Brass Rail Grill” and “Sara’s Pub” but nobody at either establishment saw her the night she vanished or in the days and months following.

Physical Description of Bambi Madden

The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System describes Bambi as being 5 foot 4 inches tall, 110-115 pounds with strawberry blonde hair, hazel eyes, and a scar on her right hand.

Bambi has the following tattoos: a unicorn with a crescent moon on her right thigh; flowers and a rainbow on her left shoulder; the letters "SWF", "CMG", and "TOM" on her left shoulder; a rose on her right breast; a guitar with music notes on her right ankle; a guitar with the word "Tommy" on her right shoulder; a flower on her right shoulder and pierced ears.
