Our communities in the Southern Tier of New York are very generous people, especially when it comes to helping our neighbors in need, whatever the situation may be.

This time of year, throughout New York State, Hoffman Car Wash centers hold their annual fall food drive, asking customers across the region to help fill local food pantry shelves.

This year (2026), the fall food drive is in its 15th year and will be held on Saturday, October 24th, and Sunday, October 25th. Customers who donate a nonperishable food item at any Hoffman Car Wash Exterior or Full Service location will receive a free Ultimate Car Wash.

The Fall Food Drive brings customers, Hoffman team members, and community organizations together to help neighbors facing food insecurity. A similar food drive was held this past spring with customers contributing an estimated 36,000 meals.

Hoffman Car Wash is partnering with 22 food pantries and community organizations across Upstate New York and Southern Vermont. Donations collected at each location stay in the surrounding community and are distributed through its local partner, including Good Neighbors in Binghamton, Loaves and Fish Food Pantry in Vestal, and the Salvation Army in Oneonta.

Suggested donations include canned meat or fish, canned soups and entrées, canned fruit, pasta sauce, cereal, 100% fruit juice, peanut butter and jelly, and other shelf-stable foods.
The event is part of Hoffman Car Wash’s “Practice Kindness” initiative, which spreads positivity and goodwill in the communities it serves.
