Thinking or planning a trip out of the country this summer, fall, or in the near future? I am. Well, sort of. A small part of my cruise itinerary will be making a stop in another country, so I'll need to present a U.S. passport.

After letting my passport expire about 20 years ago, I renewed it last year so I could take a short cruise to Bermuda.

According to an announcement from Broome County Clerk Aaron Martin, the next passport fair hosted by the Broome County Clerk’s Office will be at Chenango Valley High School, in the high school cafeteria, located at 221 Chenango Bridge Road, Binghamton.

This passport fair will be held on Monday, June 22nd, 2026, from 5 to 7 PM. IF you are interested, make an appointment by signing up at the Passport Fair website. Time is running out, so register asap since there are limited spots available.

Application forms will be available at the passport fair, and photos can be taken on site, but if you wish, a digital version of the application can be downloaded and printed in advance from the New York State Travel website.

We’re pleased to partner with Chenango Valley High School and their French Club to provide passport services to students and their families. Being a part of assisting young people in the community pursue their dreams of international travel related to their education is something our office is proud of.  - Broome County Clerk Aaron Martin
