Should This New Fan Be Welcomed Into Bills Mafia?

The Buffalo Bills are alone at the top of the AFC with a perfect record so far. Suddenly we see a bunch of people who are declaring that they're going to be Bills fans now. Should they be welcomed by Bills Mafia?

The question comes after seeing this post from TikTok:

Here's why a lot of people will think this fan SHOULDN'T be welcomed into the family

She starts off her post by saying that her family is randomly becoming Bills fans simply because they wanted a family team to root for. She's literally doing it "on a whim," and doesn't even know anything about the team. She's looking for help with any chants or songs that she should know about.

A lot of people would say, "Whoa, whoa, whoa...you haven't been through the mud, and now you want to suddenly be a fan when things are going well?"

One commenter actually said, "We aren't actually accepting bandwagon fans right now, I hear the cowboys do though"

Here's why this fan SHOULD be welcomed to Bills Mafia with open arms

First of all, there's plenty of room for Bills fans. If you want to be a true fan and cheer along with us, who are we to say that you can't? Sure, we've been fans through thick and thin. We've gone through the mud, but having more fans along with us when they finally win it big won't make us love it any less. It's not like she's coming from another team and suddenly pledging allegiance to the Bills. She doesn't have a team at all, and she's making the Bills her first professional team.

Mafia means family. We are supposed to welcome people to the family.

There are things you need to do to prove your loyalty, though

Here are the things you need to know if you want to be a Bills fan though:

• We sing hey-ey-ey-ey when they score. It's called The Shout Song.
• When another Bills fan says "Go Bills," you respond with "Go Bills" as well. You don't say "yeah!" or "yup!" You say "Go Bills."
• Mr. Brightside is a new tradition. It is fun and we do it, but it's not the Bills' theme song. Shout is still the theme song.
• Some of the most important quotes ever came from former Bills' head coach Marv Levy. The one you'll hear the most is "Where else would you rather be than right here, right now?"
• We eat our wings (not Buffalo wings...just wings) with blue cheese.
• Never say the words "wide right" anywhere. We just don't say them.
• Once a Bill, always a Bill. Once a Bills fan, always a Bills fan.
