This Will Be Banned at New Buffalo Bills Stadium in 2026?
There's one thing that might not be making it over to the brand new stadium when the Bills start playing across the street in 2026.
The new stadium looks sweet. There are going to be brand new seating areas on the field, new features, and even some huge Buffalo statues as you walk up the new stadium. But will this be banned from coming to the new stadium?
September 14, 1980, was the day OJ Simpson was put on the Bills Wall of Fame. Of course, that was way before the legal trouble that Simpson got in over the murder of Nicole Simpson in 1994.
Will the Buffalo Bills transfer OJ's name with the Wall of Fame in the brand-new stadium? Does it deserve to be put up in the new stadium?
Nicknamed 'Juice', Simpson played 11 seasons in the National Football League, mostly for the Buffalo Bills. He held the records for:
- The fastest player to gain 1,000 rushing yards in a season
- Fastest player to gain 2,000 rushing yards in a season
- Most rushing yards per game in a season
Does someone with his track record belong on the Wall of Fame? One of the greatest running backs of his time. But, with his personal history, do you keep him on the wall? Remember that Simpson was never charged with the murders of the famous 1994 killings.
When Simpson came back to Buffalo for games over the years, the fans seemed to enjoy that he was there despite his history. There was always a line to take pictures with him when he made an appearance at Highmark Stadium. O.J. Simpson passed away in April at the age of 76 after a battle with prostate cancer. For the most part, he and his family kept the diagnosis private, making it a surprise for fans when he passed away.
