Rampant Flu In These New York State Areas
There is a good chance that you, or someone you know, is not feeling well these days, as areas of New York State are seeing a large number of cases of the Flu.
The cold weather is not going away very soon. In fact, there are portions of the state that are about to see significant amounts of snow. Being in the house and not feeling well on a cold day not only makes the Flu more challenging, but it really increases the cabin fever!
But the good news is that spring is a few weeks away, and so is the end of a pretty intense Flu season.

The New York State Flu Tracker is the best way to see where the most cases of the Flu are.
According to the recent data for the past week, there are a few areas that have hundreds of reported cases and some that have thousands!
As you might expect, New York City and the Metro area are over the 20,000 cases mark! But the next closest region is Western New York with over 4,000 reported cases. Here in Erie County alone, there were over 700 reported cases last week!
There are plenty of ways to stay healthy this season and most of the health officials suggest a Flu shot. However, the standards like washing hands, covering cough, and taking vitamins are also great ways to fight the Flu.
It seems that keeping up with sleep and avoiding stress can be helpful as well.
We love the snow and embrace the winter. However, we are getting to that point of the winter when it starts to drag, and we are dreaming of warmer days!
