Amazing News for the Buffalo Bills on Sunday Morning
The Buffalo Bills will be playing a game that all fans have been waiting for, really for years.
The first ever road playoff game for Patrick Mahomes; along with the first ever game with fans in Orchard Park for this Mahomes-led Kansas City Chiefs team. Since the 2020 AFC Championship game, the Bills have only played at Arrowhead Stadium.
Today, that changes.
Whoever wins tonight's AFC Divisional round game will be travelling to Baltimore next Sunday to play the Ravens, who defeated the Houston Texans yesterday. The AFC Championship game will be next Sunday afternoon.
The Bills are 2.5-point favorites tonight, but the injury concerns have had Bills fans worried all week; mainly on defense. However, they got good news on Sunday morning.
According to Cameron Wolfe of The NFL Network, Bills cornerback Taron Johnson has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play tonight.
Johnson left last Monday's wild card game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers with a concussion.
However, linebacker Terrel Bernard is not expected to play. That's not a surprise, since he was carted off against the Steelers with a sprained ankle.
Getting Johnson back is critical. He's never missed a game during these playoff runs and is asked to do so many things for Sean McDermott.
Cornerback Rasul Douglas is also questionable but there's optimism he will play as well. Linebacker Tyrel Dodson, who missed last week, is off the injury report and will play tonight.
Gabe Davis, Taylor Rapp and Christian Benford will not play tonight. They were all ruled out on Friday. Punter Sam Martin will play, with the Bills releasing punter Matt Haack on Saturday.
