New Attraction, 133 Foot Elevator Sky Bar Coming to WNY
There is a brand new bar coming to Western New York that is certainly going to be a massive attraction. It is a 4 million dollar bar that will take you up 133 feet in the air! It could be the most wild happy hour of all time.
It is called the Aerobar.
It is a circular bar that sits 16 people and then lifts them up in an open air elevator with window walls all the way to the top, which is about 133 foot.
Think the Skylon Tower in Canada or the Space Needle in Seattle that is kind of the concept of the idea, but only 16 people will be able to sit at the bar as it goes up in the air.
The bar is going to be in Niagara Falls, New York (thank goodness that there is finally a great attraction that will be coming to the USA side). When is the Aerobar going to be done and completed? According to the contractors they are aiming to be done before Memorial Day 2027. Who is opening the elevator Aerobar in Niagara Falls, New York? It is the same guy that owns the Sheraton and Wyndham Garden hotels, Rainforest Café and the Hard Rock Café.
It is already in the works and has at least one employee and will employing some more as well. To be clear, the are dubbing the attraction as a "ride", even though you are going to be able to have drinks on it. They have already gotten some grants:
The Niagara County Industrial Development Agency approved a $403,500 grant at its Sept. 9 meeting for the $4.035 million project", according to Buffalo Business First.
