The big weekend is here! As the snow starts to fly, again, here in Buffalo, New York, there will be thousands of people headed to the Old First Ward for one of the best running events of the year!

The Irish community in Buffalo has an incredible history and has been the backbone of the city for generations. This is a great way to celebrate the heritage and get some exercise!

The 45 annual Shamrock Run takes place in Buffalo this Saturday, March 11th in the heart of Buffalo's original Irish community and neighborhood.

The race is longer than most in Buffalo and Western New York and is not an easy run, especially after a snowstorm. We have some incredible athletes in Western New York and the finishing times prove it! Last year, in 2022, the winner was on pace at 5 minutes and 15 seconds per mile! Chris Muldoon of Buffalo won the 8k race with a time of 26:07!!!

Best of luck to all the runners and volunteers!
