If you look at your calendar, it will tell you that we are still in summer. But if you're the kind of person who wants all the fall stuff now, you're going to want to take this drive.

Everyone has their favorite place for apple cider in Western New York, but if you're always open to try new places, you should see this one. It's called the Red Barrel Cider Mill in Boston, New York.

Part of the charm is the drive

One of the coolest parts about this place is the drive to get there. From the north towns, you'd take the 90 to the 219 and get off at the Boston/Hamburg exit. From that exit, you'll head south on 391 toward Springville (NOT toward Hamburg). Check out the changing leaves as you drive through Boston, and you'll see it there on your right. If you see Cappelino Chevrolet, you went too far. It's a stone's throw from there, though.

What do they have there?

The second you walk in, you’ll see bushels of freshly picked apples, real maple syrup, real popcorn, jellies and jams, lots of candy for the kids, organic honey, and, as the name suggests, coolers full of apple cider. But you’re saying…where are the freshly-made donuts?  Yes, they have those too. You’ll find a full rack of them right next to the registers.  Plus apple cider slushies to walk around with, and more.

@thehitmanbrett0 Do you even know about this gem in Boston? I’m not much of a fan of the fall stuff, but if you are, you should check this place out in the Southtowns. #fall #applecider #freshdonuts #CapCut ♬ Falling Leaves - Neo

Sure, you could probably find a place with a cooler that has apple cider to scratch that itch, but why not make a day out of it?
