Science Stadium is coming to the Buffalo Museum of Science

The Buffalo Museum of Science has teamed up with the Buffalo Bills, the Buffalo Sabres, and the Buffalo Bandits to bring a permanent exhibit that brings the high-energy world of professional sports into the science lab. Its' a $3 million initiative that teams sports culture with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

What better way to show kids that science is everywhere?

A lot of the time, it feels like kids believe science only occurs in labs with glass beakers and white coats when it's actually happening everywhere. This exhibit feels like a really cool way to show them that it's all around them, even in the games that we play.

They've got a bunch of hands-on experiences that will give the kids a chance to explore the science behind sports, from physics to sports medicine, and everything in between.

So many people believe that professional sports is only for people with incredible athletic gifts and if they weren't given those gifts, then sports isn't for them. But an exhibit like this can show them how they could eventually pursue a career in sports, just in a different way.

At the very least, it's a really cool way to spend an afternoon learning about where sports and science meet.
