There is a class action lawsuit against the "Poppi" brand beverage, and you may be entitled to some of that money.

When companies tell you that something is good for you, or that you could get a particular benefit from their product, they had better be right in their claim. If not, they could be liable for damages, which is exactly what the "Poppi" brand is currently facing.

Poppi sodas are being sued

Poppi is being sued for its claim that its drink is "gut healthy." The problem is that you would have to drink more than 4 cans of their beverage to see any benefits from their prebiotic fiber, but by drinking that much, the health benefits are negated by the amount of sugar in each can.  Also, one of the ingredients (agave inulin), according to medical studies, can cause inflammation or liver damage if taken over time.

Now they're being sued and have agreed to a settlement of $8.9 million dollars and some of that money could be yours.

Who will be eligible for this money?

This settlement will be distributed to a large number of people, as anyone who purchased Poppi sodas between January 2020 and July 2025 may be eligible to receive refunds. Here are the requirements:

  • The sodas had to be purchased for household use in the United States
  • All flavors
  • All packages

People who submit a claim with receipts for proof of purchase could be eligible for up to 75 cents per single can, $3 per 4-pack, $6 per 8-pack, and $9 per 12-pack or 15-pack purchased.  Without proof of purchase, you can still be eligible for a refund of up to $16 per household.

How do you submit a claim?

There is a final approval hearing coming up in November. They will accept online submissions until September 26, 2025 at www.poppisettlement.com.

If you'd like to submit by mail, you can send your submission to:
