Pizza Deals For Pi Day In Western New York

It’s a day that many mathematicians and those who love math appreciate, but the rest of us seem to forget the meaning. 

And can you blame us? When so many places around Western New York are offering special “Pi Day” deals, it’s hard to think about the never-ending number, amounting to 100 trillion digits and counting. 

We’ll get to the deals in a second, but we should probably give credit where credit is due. 

March 14, otherwise known as 3.14., is a day that celebrates the mathematical sign of pi. You may be shocked to learn that pi is only celebrating its 35th birthday today. It was founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw. This day was chosen for celebration because it is the first three numbers of pi, 3.14, and it’s also Albert Einstein’s birthday, who is arguably one of the most well known physicists! By the way, Einstein would have celebrated his 144th birthday this year.
