No Full Eclipse For This New York State Town
The total solar eclipse will take place today and as massive crowds are expected to witness the event, there is one town in New York State that will only get around 97 percent of the event.
The eclipse is bringing in over a million people to the Western New York area this week. For more than a week, there have been signs along the New York State Thruway warning and suggesting that drivers arrive early and stay late at their destinations.
This is truly an epic and historic day. However, some will be missing out on the totality.

According to reports, Albany will experience 97% of the eclipse today. Experts say the maximum of the eclipse over Albany will happen around 3:36 p.m.
ILOVENY.com has a great list of things to do not only for the eclipse, but for the remainder of the spring and the summer. According to the post on their site, "The eclipse will begin in western New York shortly after 2 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Full totality will begin in Chautauqua County at 3:17 p.m., moving through the state to Plattsburgh at 3:25 p.m. Locations in the path of totality could experience total darkness for up to 4 minutes".
The weather looks to be partly cloudy for much of the state. However, the experts tell us that we will experience the darkness of the moment when it happens.
