The Bills are on a roll and some of that success is due to the running game.  So how is it possible that the league's worst rusher is a member of the Buffalo Bills?

This past week, the Bills proved that they weren't afraid to run the ball down someone's throat.  James Cook had over 100 yards in the first half!  He averaged over 7.6 yards per carry and had a long one in there too.  Ray Davis did pretty good with 63 yards on the ground and an average of 5.7 yards per carry.  They are a force to be reckoned with.

But one player on the Bills doesn't have such great stats.  As a matter of fact, he isn't just the worst rusher on the team, he's the worst in the league.  Out of 290 players that have run the ball this year, he's 290th!

But it's not his fault.

The worst rusher in the league is Mitch Trubisky.  The Buffalo Bills' backup quarterback has a total of -10 yards on 11 carries through the entire 2024 season.

When you look at why he's the worst though, it totally makes sense.  Mitch really only makes it into the games these days to close games out.  That normally means that he's taking a knee in the victory formation which always registers as negative rushing yards.  If he's running, chances are things have gone badly for the Bills.  But if he's taking a knee and his attempts keep going up and his yards keep going backwards, things are going well.
