New York State’s Fall Campfire Warning
School is back in session across New York State and the cooler, fall days have arrived. There are some things that just go perfectly with the frosty air and pumpkin spice cappuccino and one of them is a warm campfire! Before you light that kindling wood, New York State has a warning.
Fro Niagara Falls, to the Adirondack Mountains, we are blessed to have so many great parks and campgrounds! Whether you are going to rough it, or go glamping, there are dozens of amazing options.
But at the end of the day, when you gather with friends and family around that crackling campfire, keep in mind the wood you are going to use to burn.

According to a recent post on "X", formerly known to us as Twitter, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation reminded residents and campers about their firewood choices. "Planning a campfire this Labor Day weekend? Stop invasive pests and diseases from hitching a ride to new areas by following the NYS Firewood Regulation".
Be safe and smart and enjoy the fall! With the leaves starting to change and the chill in the air, with a few warm days still ahead, the next few weeks should be ideal for being outdoors.
