New York State Announces Free Admission Today
It has been extremely hot out the past couple of days and in New York State it has been near record setting in every single city. There will be new cooling stations and misters coming to select spots in New York State.
Governor Hochul announced earlier in the week that because it is so hot outside they will offer free admission to all of the state parks and beaches in New York State. This is only going to be free today.
In Buffalo, Woodlawn beach today, you will not have to pay to get into the park. Typically, the admission to get in is $7.
Governor Hochul announced several beaches and pools are temporarily open ahead of the season and cooling features such as sprays and misters are being added at several State Park sites throughout New York City.
“Extreme heat can be dangerous for New Yorkers, and I’m doing everything I can to help families stay safe and cool this week,” Governor Hochul said. “I encourage everyone to take advantage of free and early admission to our world class beaches, pools and other State Park sites to beat the heat as we expect record temperatures across the state", according to the New York State website.
