New York Police Officers Shot In Line Of Duty
New York State's Governor has announced that the police officers who were shot in the line of duty this week are recuperating.
IN a post on "X" late Thursday, Governor Hochul announced that:"New York State is grateful tonight that our NYPD officers who were shot in the line of duty this evening are expected to make a full recovery".
Officials and law enforcement in New York City updated New Yorkers that the shooting involved two police officers who responded to an armed robbery.

Mayor Adams made it clear that the NYPD officers did NOT fire on the suspect and continued to mention that the officers showed incredible bravery. "Two NYPD officers were shot today by a dangerous robbery suspect in Manhattan.Despite being wounded, these two brave men in uniform carried out their duties and arrested this individual without further escalation".
It is a dangerous, often thankless, job to be a police officer and it was just announced that the New York State Troopers are adding incentives to entice recruits to join. The salary listed on the New York State Police website is as follows: "During academy training, compensation is up to $59,612. After one year of service, the minimum compensation increases to $98,300".
