Milestone Anniversary Today For Josh Allen
Today marks a significant anniversary not only for Josh Allen but also for the Buffalo Bills and their fans.
These days, it feels like there have only been two quarterbacks for the Buffalo Bills - Jim Kelly and Josh Allen. Even though there were a ton of guys who didn't work out along the way, the ones that stand out are the ones who have broken all the records.
Today is the 7-year anniversary of Josh Allen's first regular-season NFL snap with the Bills
It's hard to believe that it's been 7 years already since Josh Allen played in his first regular-season game for the Buffalo Bills. It was on September 9, 2018, that we got to see Josh Allen command a huddle for the first time, and we haven't looked back ever since.
Ironically, the Buffalo Bills were down by 40 points against the Baltimore Ravens on that day (Sept 9, 2018) when Allen saw his first snap in the regular season for the Bills. It was the first game for Lamar Jackson in the NFL, too. He wasn't able to bring the Bills back that day, but just 7 years later, almost to the day, those two teams gave us one of the most exciting Sunday Night Football endings ever.
A lot has changed since 2018
It's hard to believe, but there were still plenty of Bills Mafia members who were skeptical of Josh Allen and thought we grabbed the wrong guy earlier that April in the draft. For years, we had been disappointed in the Bills and while we were hoping that he could be the one to turn it around, a lot of people still had their doubts.
Since then he's taken us to the playoffs every year, made it to the AFC Championship game twice, and has been named the MVP. The Bills are now feared around the league and there's no question that it's because of him.
There's only one thing we haven't seen him do yet. It's time to win that Lombardi trophy.
