Josh Allen is a generational talent and proved it tonight as he was able to cement his name in the history books for the Buffalo Bills again.

It was just a couple of weeks ago that Josh Allen tied the record of OJ Simpson for the 2nd most rushing touchdowns in Bills history.  He's only behind Thurman Thomas now to own that record on his own.  It's not the only record that he will have either.  Already in the first 7 seasons of his career, these are the records that he owns with the Buffalo Bills:

  • Most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season,
  • Highest passer rating in a single postseason,
  • Most rushing yards by a Bills quarterback in a single game,
  • Longest touchdown pass by a Bills rookie quarterback,
  • First Bills quarterback with multiple 4,000 passing-yard seasons,
  • Most career rushing yards by a Bills quarterback,
  • Most career rushing touchdowns by a Bills quarterback,
  • Most AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors

On Sunday night against the 49ers, Allen was able to etch one more into the record books.  He now holds the record for the most total touchdowns (passing and rushing).

The touchdown was a pass to receiver Mack Hollins to set them over the edge.

The most impressive part of the record is the amount of time that it took him to do it.  He was able to score 245 touchdowns in just 7 seasons (105.5) games.  It's a feat that took Jim Kelly 11 seasons to do.  Hopefully we still have plenty of years left for Allen to run that number up even more.

Congrats to Josh on an incredible week!
