Hurricane Helene has been one of the deadliest, most destructive tornadoes this country has ever seen.  If you'd like to help, there are ways to donate.

You see the destruction on television, the flooded streets, and the people who have lost everything.  If you would like to help, there is a donation drive going on this weekend here in Western New York with the goal of getting supplies to people in need.

The drive will take place today and all day on Saturday, then the items will be transported to Boone, NC on Sunday 10/6.

What items are they looking for?

Many families have been left without basic necessities.  They're hoping to gather things like:

  • Baby wipes, diapers, formula, blankets
  • Plastic utensils, non-perishable food
  • Plastic sheeting, tarps
  • Toiletries, hand sanitizer
  • Pet food
  • Hydration powder packs
  • Water

There is also a Go Fund Me set up that will help, not only with money for relief efforts, but also with fueling the trucks that will be heading down.
