It's been in the making for a couple of months now, but Dinosaur Barbeque is getting ready for the opening day of its new location.

In January, it was announced that Dinosaur BBQ would be closing its Buffalo location at the end of its lease. That final day was on February 2nd of 2025. They already had a plan to open a new location in Hamburg, New York. It was a building just south of the McKinley Mall at 4245 McKinley Parkway. That building formerly held a Perkins Restaurant, a Mexican Restaurant called La Tolteca, a steakhouse called Titan Steakhouse, and LOE Trailer Sales.

Dinosaur BBQ announces it's opening day

According to Buffalo Business First, opening day is coming soon. They've set their first day for December 3rd, 2025, nine months from the date they closed their downtown location.

The new location will be the 6th location across the state of New York. After starting in Syracuse, then expanding to Rochester, they've continued to open locations in Troy, Harlem, and Brooklyn.

If you love barbeque, Hamburg is about to be the best place to be in Western New York

Dinosaur BBQ will certainly not be without competition when they open their doors. They'll be one of a number of barbeque locations in Hamburg. They're stepping into a landscape that already has some very established barbeque restaurants like the East Eden Tavern and BW's Barbeque. Then there's new places like Yankee barbeque which is right up the street.

If you're a fan of barbeque, Hamburg is about to become one of the best locations in Western New York for it.
