Coach Sean McDermott said that Damar Hamlin has not been on the field practicing with the Bills.  That looks like it changed today.

Damar Hamlin is taking it one day at a time

On January 2, 2023, Damar Hamlin was on the field with the Buffalo Bills when a direct hit to his chest stopped his heart.  It was a scary moment and one that had people praying for him for months.

Then, just a couple of months later, not only do doctors feel that he's recovered, they've cleared him to play again in the NFL.

So his plan is to join the Bills again.  However, according to coach Sean McDermott, he has just been taking it one day at a time.  He told CNN this morning that Hamlin hasn't been practicing with the team during voluntary OTA's but he's been in the building.

Video shows Hamlin doing drills with the team

Despite what McDermott said this morning it appears as though something changed in the meantime.  Video has surfaced on Twitter of Hamlin doing drills again.

It's fair to say that he is not in helmet and pads so he's not going full.  You can see that Micah Hyde is wearing his helmet.

Hamlin looks pretty good though.  He seems to be moving freely and doesn't look incredibly taxed from his movements.

Will he be able to make a full recovery and play full speed?

That question will be left unanswered until the moment he steps on the field and goes full again.  But for now, the improvement that he's showing already seems like a miracle recovery to me.
