Major Chain Restaurant Opening on Transit Road 2027
Residents are excited to hear to rumblings of a brand new restaurant that has started exploring Lancaster, New York as a location for their newest location! It is a chain called Culver's Restaurant and people, at least on social media, are very excited.
The chain was started in Wisconsin in the 80s and is know for its Butter Burgers, ice cream and Wisconsin cheese curds. It is extremely popular in other states, but chain restaurants have a hard time in Western New York because the food landscape is so protective here in Western New York. Though, I say it all the time--from the corner of Transit Road and Old Transit to Transit and Main Street in Williamsville, there are NOT enough big restaurants. Do you agree? I do not include any of the fast food places in that either. What do you think? Would this be a good addition to Transit Road?
Where in Lancaster, New York is the restaurant going to go?
Well, they are right now in the beginning phases and apparently, there is an engineering firm that is representing the chain that has pitched the plan to Lancaster.
The idea will be to demolish the Rite Aid on Transit Road at Losson (not the one in the Village of Lancaster). The Rite Aid has sat nearly a couple of years since they shuttered tons of stores. The plan is to have a drive thru and some outdoor seating as well.
The Town of Lancaster will discuss the plan, that is expected to be green-lit to start.
