It's almost St. Patrick's day.  You know what that means, right?  It's almost reuben season!  Here are some of the best places to get one in Western New York.

If you love corned beef but have never had a reuben, you are missing out!

I'm always partial to the corned beef and cabbage meal when choosing a corned beef dish, but don't get me wrong, reubens are almost never a bad choice.  They're great if you're in the mood for some corned beef, but also on the go!

What is in a reuben sandwich?

It's always this time of year when people start looking for a perfect reuben.  Everyone likes them different.  The corned beef really is the main event on this sandwich.  Some people like it sliced thick or shredded on their rye marble bread.  Some like it sliced thin and stacked high. You just don't want to go light on the corned beef.  Add the perfect thousand island dressing, a slice of swiss cheese and some sauerkraut and you're in business.

You have to have just the right amount of sauerkraut on it too.  If you add too much of it, it's going to overpower the corned beef.  not enough and it'll just make the bread feel mushy.

So where do you go to get this perfect sandwich?

Luckily for us, there are a bunch of places to get a great reuben.  You don't even have to wait until after St. Patrick's day.  They sell them all year round, but you'll normally see some specials just before and a little after St. Patrick's day as people try to use up the corned beef that they didn't sell.

Here's a list of great places to try!  Choose just one to hit up, or do the tour and hit them all!
