The Buffalo Bills made news on Thursday morning, firing safeties coach Jim Salgado. He has been with the team since 2017, which was the start of the Sean McDermott era.

We don't know yet if the Salgado firing was a scapegoat move or if more changes are coming, but the Bills will likely retool the roster as they try to avenge the AFC Divisional loss against the Bengals.

The Bills have many players they need to make decisions on this February and March, which includes Jordan Poyer, Tremaine Edmunds, Devin Singletary, Tyler Matakevich, among others.

Veteran wide receiver Cole Beasley is another player who will be a free agent.

Beasley played with the Bills from 2019-2021 and was a cap casualty in March of last year. He then was signed by Tampa Bay for a few weeks before retiring from the NFL. Beasley re-signed with the Bills in December and was active for multiple games, including both playoff games.

Beasley doesn't know what the future holds but on Wednesday, he thanked Buffalo for the time over the last several years.

Beasley has been a polarizing sports figure in Buffalo since May of 2021, when he made headlines with his opinions on the COVID-19 vaccine.

Beasley made amends for Twitter battles when he re-signed with the Bills and it's clear his teammates love him.

I'm not sure how much he has left in the tank and if the Bills would want him back. If this is it for Beasley's career in Buffalo, it was very successful. He was a perfect safety blanket for Josh Allen in 2019 and continued that in 2020 and 2021.
