Scheduled events are shifting all over Western New York this weekend due to the winter storm warning. The National Weather Service is calling for up to 3 feet of snowfall in Erie County, along with massive wind gusts as high as 65 mph.

The weather has led to the highly anticipated Buffalo Bills playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers to be pushed to this Monday at 4:30pm. The Buffalo Sabres will still face the Vancouver Canucks in their Saturday matinee game at KeyBank Center.

However, a travel ban that has been issued for Erie County beginning at 9pm tonight is bound to throw a wrench in the plans of Buffalo Bandits fans who were planning to make the one hour drive to Rochester watch their away game.

Are The Buffalo Bandits Playing Tonight?

As of right now, the Buffalo Bandits game at Blue Cross Arena against the rival Rochester Knighthawks is going on as scheduled, with faceoff still set for 7pm. Sources tell us the reigning NLL champions are already in the Rochester area.

Right now, the forecast in Rochester is calling for less severe weather than Buffalo, with 1-3 inches of snowfall on Saturday night. However, it will also be very windy.

For the portion of Banditland that is set on heading to the game in Rochester, be advised you'll most likely need to make accommodations there. For one thing, the NWS says that the blowing snow will make driving conditions extremely difficult.

Additionally, if you were planning on driving back to Buffalo after the game, keep in mind it's illegal in Erie County to be on the roads during a travel ban (unless you are deemed an essential worker) and the game will most likely end after the ban begins at 9pm.

Where Can I Watch The Buffalo Bandits Game?

If you choose to go the safer/more convenient route and watch the game from the comfort of your couch, you can catch the Bandits and Knighthawks matchup on TV via ESPN + and CW 23.
