Bills Fans Notice Something Odd About Their Latest Post
Eagle-eyed fans of the Buffalo Bills have noticed something odd about a recent social media post from the team.
Soon after the Kansas City Chiefs clinched the win over the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII, the Buffalo Bills showed us that their eyes are already on the next one. Minutes after the game was wrapped, they posted a new image to their X, Instagram, and Facebook accounts with the caption, “Next year starts NOW.”
The graphic shows Josh Allen, Dawson Knox, and Dion Dawkins (along with two other players whose numbers we can’t see) facing the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, host of the Super Bowl in 2025.
However, noticeably absent from the image was one of the Buffalo Bills’ main stars, and someone who has stirred up some controversy lately and throughout last season.
Is The Bills New Social Media Post A Dig At Stefon Diggs?
It’s no secret that WR Stefon Diggs has made some eyebrow-raising headlines lately.
Recently, Diggs found himself in some hot water with Bills fans after some curious comments he made to NFL Network reporter Cameron Wolfe at the Pro Bowl that made many question his status with quarterback Josh Allen and wonder if he wanted to stay in Buffalo.
“I don't know, I feel like with the money and all that type of stuff...I can't control all that…as far as the future, I don't have any surprises for you right now." - Stefon Diggs
Comments made by head coach Sean McDermott at the end-of-the-year presser also garnered attention from fans, when McDermott said that Diggs “was a phenomenal teammate,” noticeably referring to him in the past-tense.
This is far from the first time Diggs’ status with the Buffalo Bills was questioned. Last offseason, Diggs had tongues wagging when he no-showed to some training camp workouts, prompting McDermott to reveal that he was “very concerned.”
Even though his contract doesn’t make him an ideal candidate for a trade, the peculiar combination of Diggs’ latest comments and the Bills’ new post are only adding fuel to the speculation fire.
