This Weekend Is The Best For Leaf Peeping In Western New York
We’ve really had it made with the weather this week in Western New York. This past week, temperatures were near-perfect for this time of year - not warm enough to make us sweat, but not cold enough to turn the heat on in the house. But soon, we know that’s all going to change.
With temperatures dipping into the 40’s on Halloween and forecasts calling for a potential foot of snow next week (gulp), we’d better get outside and enjoy the pristine fall weather this Saturday while we still can.
Luckily for us, the temperature isn’t the only thing that will be beautiful - our outdoor surroundings will be as well.

Great news for leaf-peepers! According to I Love NY, Western New York’s fall foliage is expected to be at its best and brightest by the last week in October.
When you take a look at the map below, you’ll see that much of the Greater Niagara region of New York State (especially near Buffalo) and the Finger Lakes will be at its peak heading into next week, along with the Capital Region, Hudson Valley, and Long Island.
So if you’re looking for some vibrant and colorful outdoor photos to use for the family Christmas card this year, it looks like this is the weekend to break out your camera and get to snapping!
