What makes the best chili?
There are so many ways to make chili, and everyone likes it made differently. Most of the time chili consists of some ratio of meat, beans, and veggies. The beauty of chili is that when you're making it yourself, you can adjust it however you want. Want more meat? Cool, just add more meat. Want more beans, or no beans at all? You can do that too.
When you're buying it from a restaurant, though, you get what they give you. That's why there are so many different opinions about where the best chili in Western New York is.
Does anyone have a very unique chili in Western New York?
Chili is a pretty traditional dish. As mentioned above, its normally meat, beans, and/or vegetables. But does anyone ever think about making something a little more off the map? We're in the Buffalo area. Has anyone ever thought about making a "Buffalo Chili" made from Bison meat? How about a chicken wing chili? I know there's chicken chili out there, and white chili, but what if someone came up with something that centered around our most popular dish and combined the two?
I can't be the only one who's ever thought of something like that, right?
If none of that sounds good to you, don't feel bad. I'm a pretty traditional person myself, and I actually prefer to make my own chili. But when you go out, and really want a good bowl of chili, where you go? We asked you on social media, and here are the answers you gave us.
