Massive Bandages Recall Causing Infections in New York State
If these bandages or gels are used there is a chance that your wound can be infected. Tons of CVS products including the CVS brand, have been flagged by the FDA because they have caused 11 very serious injuries and they are issuing a massive, emergency recall. Basically, there was a breeched "sterile barrier" that could lead to a potential infection if you use it.
If you have any of these products that you have bought, likely at a New York State CVS, if you need to get rid of them or return them immediately. The FDA posted the recall and warning on their website:
As of December 19, 2025, Integra LifeSciences has reported 11 serious injuries related to MediHoney Wound and Burn products, three serious injuries related to CVS Wound Gel products, and no deaths associated with this issue".
