Weekend BMX Bike Event In Memory Of 13 Year Old Harpursville School Student
I have a close friend that was recently hit by a car while they were riding their bicycle along the road. They've been laid up for a while and has missed work but things could have been so much worse. I pray for this person every day and I'm glad that they are alive.
Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Brennan Loveless. Brennan was a 13-year-old that loved to ride bikes and he loved them so much that he got a new bike for Christmas. According to his father, Tim, he had the flu around Christmas and wasn't feeling well at all.
On Christmas morning, Brennan got up long enough to put the bike together and then went back to bed. He pretty much stayed in bed for the rest of the week and was beginning to feel better on New Year's day.
He got up, rode all day but never came home. That's because Brennan was struck and killed while riding his bike in a hit and run accident. Brennan was taken far too soon and this event will be in his honor and memory
Horseheads BMX Event Honoring Brennan Loveless
On Saturday, June 10th, Horseheads BMX wants to honor and remember Brennan on National BMX Day with a bike giveaway. It's a day of free racing for riders of all ages. This is a great way to try out the sport and to honor Brennan. Every rider will be entered into a free raffle to win a new Mongoose Title race bike.
The free BMX riding event begins on Saturday with a new rider open house and orientation at 11 a.m. with racing starting after 1 p.m. Go here for more information about National BMX Day in Horseheads and the event held in Brennan Loveless.
