State Senator James Seward and Asseblyman John Salka announced a section of State Route 205 in Hartwick will be re-named for a Marine who was killed in the Vietnam War. The bill to honor Marine Corps Sergeant John Kempe Winslow was signed into law last week and the state Department of Transportation will be installing signage at a later date. The designation was requested by the Town of Hartwick, Hartwick American Legion Post 1567, Cooperstown American Legion Post 579, and Cooperstown VFW Post 7128.
