Dental care for children is important but many families struggle with the associated costs. If your child needs dental care and your family is either uninsured or under-insured there's an opportunity coming up in Oneonta on February 1 to get free dental services.

A.O. Fox Hospital is partnering with the New York State Dental Association at FoxCare Dental Associates (1 FoxCare Drive in Oneonta) on Saturday, Feb. 1, for a free day of dental services to children 18 and under, along with pregnant mothers. For one day only, experienced volunteer dentists will provide these services at no cost to patients.

You need to reserve your spot by calling 607-441-4945. Spaces are limited so reserve as soon as possible.  The dental visit will include an exam and cleaning, plus any needed fillings, sealant treatment, and routine extractions. Community health navigators will also be on site to connect patients and families with additional resources and dental insurance enrollment.

This free dental day is open to anyone in the region and new patients of FoxCare Dental Associates. Follow-up care will be provided at FoxCare Center to help with additional medical needs and continued insurance coverage.

Please note: a snow date has been established for Saturday, Feb. 29. Learn more by calling 607-441-4945 or visiting www.bassett.org.

This event is being made possible by A.O. Fox Hospital, the New York State Dental Association, and the New York State Dental Foundation.
