A former Delaware County sheriff’s deputy will be on the other side of the jail bars for five years as the result of a plea deal in a 2016 assault case. Prosecutors say Theodore Tiska pleaded guilty in January to attacking his wife with a meat cleaver. Tiska was initially indicted on second degree murder charges. His sentence handed down on Monday also includes a year and a half of supervised release. Tiska retired from the sheriff’s department in 2012.
