Over a dozen decorated trees will be on view at the Edmeston Museum starting Saturday, November 23, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Light refreshments will be served at the kick-off reception as the community comes together to make merry. The event is free and all are welcome. Businesses such as NYCM, Hoyt’s Hardware, Spike’s, Delker & Terry Funeral Home and others will add a splash of color to the trees. Tradition and creativity will be offered by organizations such as local churches, the Edmeston Cub Scouts, the Edmeston Fire Department, the Edmeston Free Library, Edmeston Central School students, etc.

The Festival of Trees’ reception will proceed the community lighting of the Christmas tree at the newly renovated gazebo and garden space which will commence at 6 p.m. Craft tables will be set up so families can make ornaments for the community tree. Santa is expected about 6:45 p.m. with actual tree lighting to commence at 7 p.m.

The museum’s Festival of Trees will remain open throughout November and December on the following dates:

Thursday, November 29th, 9 a.m. to 12n

Saturday, November 30th, 9 a.m. to 12n

Wednesday, December 4th, 6-8 p.m.

Saturday, December 7th, 9 a.m. to 12n

Wednesday, December 11, 6-8 p.m.

Saturday, December 14, 9 a.m. to 12n

Wednesday, December 18, 6-8 p.m.

Again, there will be no admission costs. Come stroll through the museum while celebrating the season!
