SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — A 23-year-old man is the second to admit taking part in a Syracuse liquor store robbery that left the owner shot in the eye.

Local media report 23-year-old Delvon Harley pleaded guilty Thursday to attempted murder and robbery and faces 20 years in prison for the attack on 77-year-old Thomas Dotterer at Salina Wine and Liquors on Jan. 23.

In May, 19-year-old Shireff Williams was sentenced to 16 years after pleading guilty in Onondaga County Court to first-degree robbery.

Williams admitted he had gone with Harley to rob the store.

Authorities said Harley shot Dotterer and Williams wasn't armed.

Dotterer, a coach at Christian Brothers Academy, was initially in critical condition, but recovered with damage to his right eye.

Harley's sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 17.
