Delaware Teen Hospitalized Following ATV Crash

A Delaware County teen is being treated for head trauma following an all-terrain vehicle crash in the Town of Hancock. 

Sheriff’s officials responded to the report of an ATV crash off Harvard Road on the afternoon of July 16. 

Authorities say the 17-year-old from East Branch was riding between the road and the East Branch of the Delaware River when he lost control of the ATV and hit a tree.  

Deputies say the teen was wearing a helmet.

The boy was initially taken to UHS Delaware Valley Hospital before being transferred to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.  His condition has not been released.

The investigation is continuing.
