Delaware County Cat Tests Positive for Rabies

A stray cat found in Delaware County has tested for positive for rabies.  The cat, found in Kortright, did come into contact with an unvaccinated cat, but had no exposure to a human.  This was the third rabid animal found in Delaware County in 2018.

Exposure to a rabid animal can prove fatal to a human or animal.  Be a responsible pet owner and keep your animal's rabies record up to date.
