A Day of Recovery "Finding the Balance Within", a day to promote, encourage, and celebrate mental wellness and recovery is taking place on October 14th in SUNY Oneonta's Hunt Union Ballroom. Registration starts at 9:30 a.m. with speakers starting at 10:00 a.m. The workshops will continue until 2:15 p.m. 

Recovery is possible for everyone, and this event is meant to increase awareness to mental health conditions as well as the power of healing and recovery. The Day of Recovery is free and open to anyone who is available to attend. However, seating is limited, so advanced registration is preferred.

Various healing activities are planned to take place, including:
- Yoga
- Introduction to Wellness Recovery Action Planning
- Mindfulness
- Drumming
- Zumba/POUND

In addition to the wellness workshops as well as other activities, the Day of Recovery at SUNY Oneonta is offering their Art Exhibit and Contest. All art must be submitted on Saturday, October 14th by 9:30 a.m.

All art must meet the following requirements:
- Must be original work
- Artist identification should be clear on back of piece
- Theme for exhibit - "Finding the Balance Within"
- No art depicting violence will be accepted
- One entry per artist
Drawing will take place after the wellness workshops at 2:00 PM in Hunt Union Ballroom.
