The Catskill Watershed Corp. Board of Directors also approved a $500,000 low-interest loan for the Catskill Revitalization Corp., which runs the Arkville-based Delaware & Ulster Railroad. The loan will be used to purchase two locomotives, a self-contained rail diesel car, track equipment to lay ties and a portable restroom trailer which would be utilized at Arkville and at Roxbury, northern terminus of the DURR. The railroad is known for the “Rip Van Winkle Flyer”, a five-car Budd streamline train used for charters.
